Why Become Trauma-Informed?
* Experiences that cause trauma and grief are common in our society in a plethora of ways.
* We are the “parentis locus” when our students are in our care and have an ethical obligation to create an informed, safe and caring environment for them.
*Since we became educators to effectively teach our students, it is important we have an understanding of the effects of trauma on their learning.
